PandA Labs and CogWorks Labs share space on the 2nd floor of the Carnegie Building.
Participants sit in front of a large projection screen and use various input devices to control their motion through a simulated environment. Displays are generated using OpenGL graphics libraries running on a Dell Precision 530 Workstation with a nVidia Quadra2Pro graphics card, and projected by a Barco Cine 8 CRT projector onto a 48” x 72” rear-projection screen. Research in this lab is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
