Raven's Matrices are a family of intelligence tests. Subjects are asked to complete an array of figures by choosing the best-fitting example among some given alternatives. This talk reviews progress towards a model of human performance on Raven's Matrices within the Clarion cognitive architecture. A working model is presented and analyzed by way of preliminary results and worked examples. It is argued that the emerging model promises to parsimoniously capture important psychological findings about the task such as the prominent relationship between cognitive control, working memory, and individual differences in performance.
