The Ph.D program in Cognitive Science at RPI is accepting applications. Graduate assistantships and other forms of financial support for graduate students are available. Prospective graduate students interested in cognitive architectures and modeling, machine and human learning, connectionist Models (neural networks), multi-agent systems, and other related areas are especially encouraged to apply. Students with Master's degrees are preferred. The new department has identified graduate Ph.D programs and research as its primary missions. The department is conducting quality research in a number of areas: computational cognitive modeling, artificial intelligence, human and machine learning, multi-agent systems, neural networks and connectionist models, human and machine reasoning, cognitive engineering, and so on. See the Web page below: http://www.cogsci.rpi.edu/~rsun For the application procedure, see http://www.cogsci.rpi.edu/ ----------------------------------------------------------------- The Institute is a top-tier research university enrolling some 9,000 students. The University offers programs in many areas, ranging from sciences and engineering to architecture, arts, and management. The cognitive science department awards degrees at the Bachelor's and Ph.D levels. The Department has a variety of equipments and laboratories available for research. These facilities are currently being enhanced, in conjunction with computing laboratories maintained by the campus. A wealth of library resources are available through the extensive collections of books and journals housed in various libraries.
